Little Blue World Online Releasing the Warrior by Liz Garlinge

In our exclusive interview,Tori talks about American Doll Posse, her glam squad and more.

"When I'm Tash's mom, I don't want to listen to the school spouting my beliefs left, right and center; I play it pretty low key. At the same time, when I'm on stage, I don't play it pretty low key, because that's not what that gig's about. As a songwriter and a composer, sometimes you have to write about horrible situations. This album is choosing to write about all kinds of things--horrible situations included."

Something About the Open Road by Aimee Lortskell

A look back at Tori tour's past. "Tori has a long history of performing live, beginning when she was only 11 years old playing nightclubs with her parents' chaperonage and occasionally at weddings and other church functions officiated by her dad."

This is the Tie That Will Bind Us: Tori, Politics and America. by Maureen Paley

"[S]ome artists, like Tori, trust the masses, have faith that their audiences will have the tact, poise and boldness to question the politics and government--not necessarily in her way, but in our own--taking ownership of our place amidst political circumstances. She asks some very tough questions, not compromising her stance; she trusts us to do what we will with the questions."

Chablis and a Spot of Tea: A Look Inside Tori's Favorite Beverages by Renee Roberson

"But wine isn't the only beverage that serves as a mainstay in Tori's life. Just as millions of Americans flock to Starbucks each day to seek comfort in their beverage of choice, Tori also finds solace in the preferred drink of her adopted country of England: hot tea. The two drinks each have special place in Tori's life, whether it's the early morning cup of tea she enjoys before Tash awakes or the bottle of wine that she shares with her entourage after a satisfying show."

Blogs, Bicycles, and Bikinis: The Deeds of the Ditty Bops by Lynne Stahl

Taking a look at Tori's former opening act. "Musical persuasions notwithstanding, the genuine novelty of The Ditty Bops is definitely worth a look, but beware—browse their highly entertaining website and you just may wind up hooked on their music, too."

How To Bounce Off Clouds (After Soiling Your Orange Knickers) by Aimee Lortskell

How Tori keeps one fan coming back for more. "[T]he great thing about Tori is that she _doesn't_ use a cookie-cutter formula; she's always experimenting with new styles and pushing her limits."

Mixing Tori by Liz Garlinge

An LBW writer tries assembling the perfect Tori primer. "Like many readers, I'm a great fan of the mixtape. I've been making mixtapes for more than twenty years, balancing old favourites with new gems, pondering the perfect song to start the mix, hoping that friends like the recommendations I make. When Nick Hornby released his novel High Fidelity, it seemed like he was talking about me and my generation of C90 DJs."

Reviews: The Tori Amos Songbook Buyer's Guide: Tales of a Librarian by Lydia Simon

"ToaL is something of a treasure for collectors. There are many photographs of Tori throughout the lyrics pages, and some of them are rare. The only photo duplicated from the CD is the cover shot. Some interior photographs are easily identifiable as being from earlier photo sessions, and while a few have made the rounds, at least eleven of the photos are infrequently seen…."

When Lorraine Met Malena by John Higdon

"So how did duo Lorraine a' Malena manage to engage the genius of Mr. Gaiman for their 2005 debut album Mirror Mirror? It probably helped that one half of LaM, known professionally as "The Fabulous Lorraine," has been Neil's personal assistant for over 14 years. The other half, Malena Teves, only played such on TV: she appeared as the writer's "Goth un-dead silent assistant" when Neil hosted a horror show back in 2004."

Focus on Audrey Romano by Beth Nelsen

"I wanted learn how to design a website, so I started a personal site that also included an archive of my own Tori collection and experiences, lyrics to my favorite songs, photos, etc. When another Tori site webmaster contacted me, I really felt encouraged by the support from her and eventually the fan community to make [hereinmyhead.com] into something everyone could use."
