Little Blue World Online A Ginger Feast by Aimee Lortskell

My family and I enjoyed picking out some of the common [video] elements, and the most obvious were the little girls. Nearly half these videos feature little girls, most of them representing a younger Tori. But by far the coolest is the teenage Tori in the "Jackie's Strength" video, played by Tori herself in some seriously transforming makeup.

Spotlight Video Views: "Glory of the 80s" and "Strange Little Girl" by Jennie Alibasic

[Glory of the 80s] is a clear example of what [Erick] Ifergan likes to set out to do with his work, as he explained in an interview with Shoot Magazine (March 23rd, 2001), "Bringing the future to life with visual aplomb. That's really what I love to do: play with space and play with time."

Touring Tori's Wardrobe: Part 2 by Liz Garlinge

Most impressive for me is how the digital art is used to bring so many different visual ideas together into a coherent whole. The images on The Beekeeper are unique and could only have come from this period of time. It's a very accomplished, very cohesive story which is being told here in silk, cotton, leather and lycra. The experience of this album both recorded and live is a very intense one for me, and I think Tori and her team have selected amazing outfits to complement the experience.

Tapping into It All: An Exclusive Interview with Charlotte Martin by Amber Lea Klink

"The challenges of touring are clean socks, sleep, wireless ... and did I say sleep? The rewards by far surpass any challenges; otherwise, I wouldn't choose to live my life on the road. I live on the road. I mean, really live: the reflection time before the shows, seeing the different places, the music and the shows, seeing my fans. I love how no two shows are alike."

The Evolution of the Harpsichord: Part 2 by Lydia Simon

Because of the harpsichord's clarity of tone, it was especially well suited to compositions featuring counterpoint and consequently it was the dominant keyboard instrument of the Baroque era.

Reviews: The Tori Amos Songbook Buyer's Guide: From the Choirgirl Hotel by Lydia Simon

The Choirgirl songbook is not quite as challenging or as satisfying to play as the Boys for Pele songbook, but it does make the evolution of Tori's songwriting more apparent than perhaps the recordings do.

Buy this from Amazon! Can't Pin This Butterfly Down by John Higdon

The other common myth about Beth [Orton] is that she's a downer, a "Comedown Queen." I find that to be only partly true. Many of her songs are actually rather upbeat in tempo and production, even when the words betray something vaguely darker. It is true, though, that most of her songs read as if forged in the cooling embers of failed or failing relationships.

Ears with Feet:

The Summer of Original Sinsuality, part two by Katharina Eberhardt

As we were walking home after the concert, I looked at the moon. It was full and shining brightly. When you look at it in Australia, it does not have the "face" that you can see in the Western Hemisphere. But now it had its face back, just like me.
