The Strange Days of 2001 by Rob Woiccak
A number of fans set out to make sure that all of the shows on the tour
would be recorded. For the most part, that effort was successful and
bootlegs of all but a few -- mostly European -- shows from the tour are
being traded about amongst fans. Despite the common expectation that
amateur audience recordings will sound bad, the majority of these
recordings have very good sound as they were often recorded using rather
expensive gear and are very listenable.
A Little Warm in Her Heart by Angela Bacon Reid
The show is an excellent outlet for musicians and a fun way for the
audience to hear new interpretations of Tori's songs. Classical
musicians do this all of the time! It's not unusual to have a concert
dedicated to Mozart's music, for example. Having musicians perform the
works of Tori Amos is a great way to honor an amazingly talented
songwriter of our time.
Goddess Erupting by Kenya McCullum
As any blazing goddess can attest, raw emotion can make a girl hungry.
Volcano goddess Pele is regularly offered food by Hawaiians in fear of
incensing her. Comparably, Tori seemingly used food and drink to temper
these difficult girls, while not stifling their need to erupt. As a
result, the Dew Drop Inn tour gave Tori fans many yummy, hunger-inducing
stories.
