After a creative dry spell, Herb tried his hand at portraiture, a genre of art he had previously avoided... As he experimented with pencil drawings of Tori, he found that he was drawn to oil paintings and, as he puts it, "suddenly there was like this tidal wave of pictures coming out of me."
